Software testing has evolved over the years. While the overall goal remains the same, the techniques and technology have changed necessitating a modified and specific approach to software testing. With the architectural changes brought about by the multi-tiered approach available with the Internet, the testing techniques have evolved and been enhanced by technology-based approaches.
This 1 day course provides an overview of software quality and testing practices and techniques as well as in-depth techniques and practices specific to Web architectures. This course includes information on Web technologies, planning and organizing what to test, deciding which types of testing to use and building a test process that supports a comprehensive test or the dynamic nature of releases to a live site. Part of the course will be to follow the life cycle to produce artifacts for a web testing effort. This 1 day class also provides an overview to tools that can help with web testing.
Knowledge of programs, environment and Web browsers is helpful, but not required. Experience in testing of applications is helpful, but not required.
